The Brunello di Montalcino wine district, which corresponds to the area around Montalcino in the province of Siena, is located in south-eastern Tuscany. It provides us with the most enduring and famous of Italian wines.
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese. Colour: intense ruby red leaning towards garnet red. Bouquet: characteristic and intense. Taste: dry, warm, a bit tannic, robust, harmonious and persistent. Ageing: 30 months in French oak barrels, 6 months in the bottle.
